~98.95% of our cardboard cold-chain packaging is recyclable or decomposable*

At Inservio Home, our priority is to ensure safe, secure medication delivery at the correct temperature, while minimising environmental impact. Many medications require temperatures between 2-8°C throughout transport, and we’ve rigorously tested our packaging to achieve this goal sustainably.

The vast majority of our deliveries are made using recyclable cardboard packaging. In some cases, we may use a polystyrene outer carton due to factors like long delivery times or extreme temperatures.

Our cold-chain cardboard packaging includes:

• Recyclable cardboard box

• Decomposable wool liners

• Non-toxic, environmentally friendly gel packs (cut plastic bag open and dispose gel in the garden or flush with water. Plastic bag to be disposed of in normal waste bin)

• Recyclable cardboard separators

• Temperature indicator card for transit temperature monitoring

• Recyclable flyer with instructions on how to interpret the temperature indicator and what do to in an unlikely instance of a temperature deviation.

A small amount of soft plastic is necessary for certain packaging, but we've minimised its use.

*Based on the percentage weight of all packaging components for a medium sized cardboard delivery box, excluding the medication itself. A medium sized box could contain 3 average sized injectables. Total pack weight excluding medication is 5,950g with 62g comprising non-recyclable/decomposable components.
